These sounds have been compressed and saved as .au and mp3 format sound files. To hear them, you must have a PC computer with a soundcard or a Mac. The .au format works with all platforms and browsers; if you have problems hearing them, check your browser sound settings.
Note that some of these sounds are fairly large and will take a while to download through a slow connection.
Some of the larger bells have had their sounds faded out early in order to speed download times; some of these bells will ring for a minute or more after being struck.
